Prairie Lanes will be hosting a 4 day Dick Ritger clinic at, Sponsored by: Coachz' Pro Sop and Prairie Lanes Junior Bowling program.
What to expect:
Their reputation over the years has been built on the quality of our educational program because it works and has produced extraordinary results. Their teachers create the "family" which focuses on you, the individual. The "Ritger Method" a carefully designed program of skill drill, enables bowlers to leave with the tools to constantly improve their game. By providing self-help methods, the bowler can quickly remain balance, timing, consistency and accuracy, with scores going up accordingly. They ask what you wish to accomplish, and strive to meet your goals

Kilian / Ramsden District Singles Champs
Samantha Kilian and Cody Ramsden won the 2007-2008 District Four High School Singles tournament at Bowl-A-Vard Lanes on Thursday December 27. Kilian from Sun Prairie and Ramsden from Verona both won their respective classes and an automatic berth to the 2008 Wisconsin High School State Singles Championships in Green Bay on March 7-9. They will represent their respective schools in their quest for that State Singles Title.
Samantha Kilian had to hold off the charging Steph Coren of Verona. Samantha took the lead from the beginning with a 212 game and led by 37 pins over Melisa Warner from Verona and Stephanie Welsh from Sun Prairie after three games. A 212 in game four by Steph Coren put her in the lead by 15 pins over Kilian. But in game five a 183 by Kilian and a 146 by Steph put Kilian back in the lead for good as she finished off the day with a 225 for a 6 game total of 1145 and a 39 pin victory over hard charging Tiffany Kroon from De Forest who finished with a 1106 and a 2nd place finish, Steph finished 3rd (1086), 4th was Stephanie Welsh (1077) and 5th was Melissa Warner of Verona(1067).
In the Boys Varsity division it was Mike Meekma of Sun Prairie setting a torrid pace with a 300 game to start off the day, Mike led after two but struggled to carry and finished eighth on the day. After three it was Cody Ramsden from Verona knocking them down with a three game total of 713 over Richard Gobeli with a 702. In game five Gobeli from Sun Prairie kept on the pressure with a 244 to Ramsdens' 238 and pulled within 5 pins but it was all Ramsden in games five and six as he finished with a 252 and 227 for a 1430 and a 6 game average of 238. Brady Stienberg (McFarland, 1348) finished 2nd, Gobeli(1339) 3rd, Shannon Udelhofen (Sauk Prairie, 1290) 4th, and Mike Pounders (La Follette, 1278) rounds out the top five.
In the Boys JV Division it was Justin Carpenter of La Follette with a 1196 over 2nd place Matt Meekma (1167) of Sun Prairie. Rounding out the top five were 3rd place Brandon Stienberg of La Follette with 1158, 4th place Casey Normington of Oregon with 1099 and 5th place Hunter Daveler of Sun Prairie with 1067.
In the Girls JV Division it was Madison East Angelina Perrinello firing a 1002 taking first place ahead of 2nd place Stephanie Willie of Oregon (914)rounding out the top five were Christine Phillips (889)of Sun Prairie, Ashley Perrinello (646) of Madison East and Amber Nerwman(605) of De Forest.
This years tournament, sponsored by Village Lanes in Madison, Waun-A-Bowl in Waunakee, and Badger Bowl of Madison was another huge success. With those sponsors the District Four Tournament was able to pay out $1735 in scholarships to 32 different bowlers.

Sun Prairie Varsity Perfect

Congrats to the Sun Prairie High School Boys varsity team on rolling a 300 baker game Monday, December 10, 2007 during league competition at Rudes Lanes. Members of the team were seniors Justin Faltersack, Kevin Morrical, Brian Welch, Mike Meekma and juniors Kai Deering and Richard Gobeli. The team is coached by John Breunig.
This is the 3rd 300 game rolled in the history of the District #4 High School League. The other two games were shot in previous seasons by Waunakee High School coached by Mitch Reis and Monona Grove High School coached by Mitch Marks.
Thanks to all the bowlers and proprietors who help support the District #4 High School league by participating in the High School Jackpot. Without your help great lifetime experiences like these would not be possible.

In 2006 we held our tournament at Bowl-A-Vard Lanes and we proudly paid out $2,200 in scholarships, all monies are managed by Scholarship Management and Accounting Reports for Tenpins. (SMART)
We would like to offer to all centers the opportunity to co-sponsor the district 4 Scholarship Singles Tournament to be held in December at Bowl-A-Vard Lanes. The winners of the girls and boys varsity division will move onto the State Tournament singles competition.
